Directly following the Iliad, a tragically misthrown javelin brings Queen Penthesileia and her crew of Amazon warriors to the besieged city of Ilion and into the next stage of the Trojan War.   The Mythoversal Penthesileiad is a free verse adaptation of this ancient tale of love and war, building on three thousand years of Epic tradition.

The Runner

In a time of disease and social distancing, the seven-gated City of Thebes cowers in fear. But in the city's darkest hour, a new hero will rise.   Following in the footsteps of Ino, a true Spartoi runs...toward death!   The Runner is Book One of the "Pyrrha of Thebes" series, an original free-verse adventure in Mythoversal Thebes.

The Mythoversal Pandora by Greg R. Fishbone is a story that's too dangerous for mortal eyes, and so has been hidden by the gods within a jar, within a box, within another box, within a shipping crate, within a website. The story can be opened, verse by verse, only by community members working together (or by a clever few puzzle-solvers on their own).

Short Takes

Short takes are standalone poems featuring themes and characters taken from mythology.   Some may be based on puns.   Some may be based on modern pop culture.   Some may reference current events.   Enjoy!
